Two States of Life

These two jellyfish were created in honor of people I deeply admire — my dear friends who live with bipolar disorder.

At first glance, they appear almost identical: luminous, delicate, floating in quiet beauty. Yet each carries its own tone, rhythm, and movement. Gold and silver. Light and shadow. Stillness and energy.

This pair reflects the daily balance my friends carry within themselves. Not a flaw. Not a weakness. But a continuous act of strength — navigating emotional tides, chemical shifts, and inner contrasts with grace most people will never see.

Bipolar is often misunderstood as something broken or chaotic. I see something very different. I see resilience. Sensitivity. Depth. An extraordinary ability to feel, adapt, and continue.

Like jellyfish, they move through changing currents without resistance, guided by inner intelligence, surviving in environments that are constantly in motion.

This work is my tribute to their beauty, courage, and quiet heroism.
Not despite their condition — but through it.
