Expo’s Coming Up

My work begins where decoration ends.

I build large-scale sculptural relief works by hand, on custom wood panels, in layered plaster, resin, metallic leaf, crushed glass, and mirror. Each piece projects off the wall, shifts with light throughout the day, and commands a space in a way that flat work never can. Nothing is printed. Nothing is reproduced. Every piece exists once.

I came to art after more than twenty years as a nurse, much of that time in hospice care. That work taught me something I have never forgotten: the spaces we inhabit affect us deeply. A room can offer comfort or leave you feeling unseen. Beauty, when present, is not decoration. It is a form of care.

I believe every piece I make carries energy, intentionally and deliberately. I embed words and prayers into the work. I think of each piece as a talisman: something that changes the atmosphere of the room it enters. Some people call that spiritual. I call it the whole point.

Within a year of starting, I was exhibiting at Artexpo New York. My work is currently installed at Aurora Municipal Airport in Aurora, Illinois, and will be shown at Art Santa Fe in July 2026 and Artexpo at the Mart in Chicago in October 2026.
