Deep Within

32 x 48 x 1-3/4 in . 15 lbs . Plaster, fiber, gold leaf, rhinestones, resin . 2025

She is not lost. She is becoming.

Curled inside the pomegranate - colorful, potent, full of everything she will one day be - she is simply not ready

yet. There is some sadness here, and that is allowed. Sometimes we need to sit inside the feeling, digest it, let

it move through us before we can come out the other side.

Her hair is built from real fiber strands - individually painted and placed by hand, with raised plaster forms

beneath covered in gold to amplify the texture and movement of each strand. Her body is inlaid entirely with

rhinestones - not sprinkled, not scattered, but placed one by one with intention. Every single one.

She does not see her own strength yet. She cannot feel how extraordinary she already is. But the universe

sees it. The universe is not rushing her. It is wrapping itself around her, feeding her, nourishing her quietly -

giving her exactly the time and space she needs.

She will come out. And when she does, she will be ready.

Its counterpart is My Protection - the bison. Made at the same time, on purpose. While she is inside becoming,

he is outside holding the world steady.
